“ OMG this is an authentic Laotian restaurant, a hidden gem. Everything (regular size) on the menu was less than 10. Order at the counter or grab the premade meals & snacks. We ordered the basil chicken fried rice dish & the lo mein with sweet sausage. Both were served piping hot to-go, although there were plenty of tables & chairs for dine in. The chicken rice plate was a killer - so tasty with some heat. We couldn’t stop eating it. The portions were large for 1 person. The lo mein was on point - salty sweet (from sweet sausage). The Thai ice tea was strong & sweet, perfect. We will definitely return when we’re in the area. 2 thumbs up. ”

“ More of a take out place than a restaurant although they do have tables. I asked the cashier for his recommendation and he suggested the #1 on the all day menu. I asked for it as spicy as possible and boy did they deliver. Noodles are great. I really enjoyed it. Also ordered one spare rib. Very different than what I've had before. Sort of a dee fried dry rub. Very tasty and delicious. Food was a 10/10. Price also. Portions are huge. Ambiance was not as good, but it should be considered a take out place. Highly recommend. ”
“ The food was really tasty and was not salty at all. It's an authentic Laotian restaurant and you can even buy dishes already wrapped and ready to go. It took about 10 to 15 minutes for our food and it was piping hot. Very friendly service and a lot of different menu items. We will definitely go back every time we're in Charlotte. ”
“ I'm stopping by in the area and was looking for affordable quick food that would still be good. JP Lao Kitchen did not disappoint. I absolutely love asian food, spicy food, and exotic teas. This hit all the marks. The chicken on the stick was flavorful and cooked perfectly, the sticky rice was so authentic and delicious, and the chili sauce was delicious and packed a punch. It was a 10/10. I also had the Thai iced tea which complimented the meal perfectly, cooled down the spice, and was just fantastic on its own. It was such a unique flavor and a beautiful color and I'll definitely make an effort to eat from here again! ”

“ Didn’t expect it to be that GOOD! They have 2 Cashiers, both are very patient, explaining everything to me since it’s our first time. We ordered chicken wings, Laos Chicken with Rice noodle soup, Papaya Salad Laos style and Pad Thai. They are all so good except for the Papaya salad, which is just ok not bad. We had to go back and order chicken wings again, it was so good can’t get enough.Will definitely come back!!! ”
“ First time ever having Lao food...10 out of 10 would recommend!! I got the Lao sausage with veggie fried rice and pork jerky with sticky rice and chili sauce. My wife got 3 fried wings with sticky rice and chili sauce and the spicy papaya salad and a bag of chicharrones. We got a Lao coffee and Thai tea to drink respectively. All the food was great. The spicy papaya salad was indeed very spicy, but was by far my wife's absolute favorite. I quite enjoyed the pork jerky and sausage. The pricing is very fair as well! Will be back again in the future. ”
